Customer Service/Communication

Programs that provide services such as various payment plans and options. Oklahoma Municipal Power Authority (OMPA) member cities can also participate in a quarterly newsletter that is distributed to the utilities’ customers.


Current Events Newsletters/Inserts

The newsletter was started by OMPA for municipal electric utilities interested in providing municipal electric system information about current issues and local government to their customers.  The publication is published four times a year, spring, summer, fall & winter. PCE uses the publication for the promotion of energy services programs or other community-specific items of interest to our customers. The newsletters are inserted in the bills quarterly.  This provides a vehicle for communicating with customer, informing the customers about community activities and other news, promotes the municipal electric utility, Energy Services programs and the benefits of Public Power, and keeps customers up on state and national activities and issues in the electric industry. Besides the four newsletter inserted into the bills, two additional inserts are required.


Grade School Safety

Ponca City Energy (PCE) provides Safety demonstrations and presentations to various elementary schools in Ponca City. PCE offers Hazard Hamlet demonstrations with safety videos to 4th & 5th graders. This presentation requires the actual PCE lineman in protective gloves to perform the high voltage demo.  In addition, PCE sends Watt, the safety clown to the elementary schools targeting the younger students. PCE believes it is important to educate children about the dangers of electricity.  This opportunity provides the city utility with valuable exposure in the local schools.


Average Monthly Payments

This program helps the customer budget for electric usage needs by paying a monthly payment based on annual use. This helps the Ponca City Energy/Ponca City Utility Authority (PCE/PCUA) maintain cash flow year-round and helps the customer to budget for their utility bills by averaging out their payment year-round.


Payment by Bank Draft

Using this program, the customer gives PCE/PCUA the permission to make automatic bank withdrawals to pay the customer’s bill. This ensures regular automatic payment for the utility and provides the customers with a convenient way to pay utility bills automatically.


        Credit Card Acceptance

PCE/PCUA offers the opportunity for the customer to pay their bill with credit card or debit card.  This ensures payments for the utility and provides the customers with another convenient way to pay their bills.
