AMBUC Pool - (outdoor) Maple, between South 7th and South 7th Street

Season: Memorial Day through Labor Day. Admission: $2.00 for adults; $1.00 children 12 and under.

Open: M-T-Th-F-Sa-Su (closed Wednesday)

 

Dan Moran Baseball Complex - South Avenue, between Ash Street and Franklin

The Parks and Recreation Department sponsors softball for girls, Kindergarten through 6th grade.

 

Ponca City Jr. Baseball organizes and operates baseball for children 15 & under.

 

YMCA sponsors flag football in the fall.

 

Skatepark.

 

BMX Track operated by Ponca City Alternative Sports Association.

 

Willow Springs Softball Complex - Miller, between South 9th and South 11th Street

Adult softball operated by Ponca City Softball Association.

 

Wally Smith Tennis Center - North 7th and Summit

This is a nine court lighted complex open to the public. No fee is charged.

The Ponca City Bank of Oklahoma Junior Tennis Open is held here in June.

Youth Tennis Lessons are held June and July.

 

GOOF's Field - Pecan and Central

This is a radio controlled model air field operated and maintained by Good Old Okie Flying Club.

 

Jack Blevins MotoCross Park - West Prospect, east of Airport runway

Operated and maintained by The American Business Men's Club. The National MotoCross Race is held the first of August each year.

 

Lake Ponca Recreation Area

Lake Ponca Park - Located 1/2 mile east of Kygar on L.A. Cann Drive.

 

Lake Ponca Camp Grounds - Located at the intersection of East Dam Road and Prentice Road.

 

Lake Ponca Nature Center - Located on East Dam Road, across from Lake Ponca Campgrounds.

 

Archery Range - Located 2 miles north of intersection of East Dam Road and Prentice Road. Operated and maintained by The Ponca City Bowmen's Association.

 

Lew Wentz Camp and Pool (outdoor pool) - Located West of Lew Wentz Memorial Golf Course on L.A. Cann Drive.

Pool Season: Memorial Day through Labor Day. Admission: $2.00 per adult; $1.00 age 12 and under

Open: Tues through Sunday(Closed Monday)

 

Dining Hall and/or Camp Facility available for rental.

 

Disc Golf Course

War Memorial Park, located between North 5th & North 7th, on Overbrook. 9 hole disc golf course.

 

Lake Ponca Sailboat Marina 18 hole disc golf course

 

Walking Trails

            War Memorial Park, North 5th and Overbrook - Hutchins Trail is .838 mile in length.

 

Marland Estate, 901 Monument Road - Marland Estate Trail begins at the west gate of the Marland Estate, extending through Unity Gym parking, and continues through Redbud Park to Hartford Avenue. The trail is .711 mile in length.

 

Lake Ponca Trail is a natural hiking, biking and equestrian trail established at Lake Ponca along the fence line on Snake Road from Hartford Ave. to Prospect Ave. and is 1.9 mile in length.

 

Standing Bear Trail. Inside the park is .55 mile; the Greenbelt Trail is 1.10 mile; Erie Park Trail is .55 mile and the Club House to the Greenbelt is .65 mile.

 

Cann Memorial Gard. A pathway meanders through the color coordinated beds of pereniials, herbs and annuals. The botanical garden features a Wisteria arbor and lily pond.

Take a walk down Grand Ave. Park in front of the Library or City Hall and take the opportunity to check out the downtown business area. The walk from the Library to the Poncan Theatre and back is approximately 0.6 mile.

 

Youth Fishing - Age 15 & under

Willow Springs Pond located between South 9th and South 11th Street. Pond is stocked by the Department of Wildlife.

 

Lake Ponca Park Ponds are located 1/2 mile East of Kygar on L.A. Cann Drive, providing a peaceful place to fish or feed the ducks.

 

Marland Mansion Pond located at the Marland Mansion, 901 Monument Road.
