PUBLIC USE OF PARK AND RECREATION FACILITIES

FOR SPECIAL EVENTS

 

Any individual, group, or organization requesting to use a Park and Recreation facility for an event or activity  such as fundraising events, tournaments or special event will submit to the Park and Recreation Advisory Board a “PARK & RECREATION SPECIAL EVENT REQUEST FORM”. 

 

In considering requests to use park facilities, the Advisory Board will weigh the loss of use and inconvenience to the public versus the benefit to the public or group in allowing special events in the parks. 

 

The Advisory Board requests that a “SPECIAL EVENT REQUEST FORM” be filled out and returned to the Park & Recreation Department a minimum of 60 days prior to the event and one week prior to the Advisory Board Meeting.  The Advisory Board Meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month.  The Advisory Board also requests that a representative from the requesting group or organization be present at the Board meeting to answer any questions the Advisory Board may have.

 

Such request must be submitted and approved prior to advertising any event or activity.  The Advisory Board, when approving such requests, may require a fee.
